The UV Nanoimprint Lithography (NIL) Training aims to teach users the nano/micro pattterning technique with soft stamp nanoimprinting.

The training is primarily hands-on with only 45 minutes classroom presentation time. The classroom presentation will give a general review of the technology and an outline of the workflow in the cleanroom, it also includes brief discussions about master mold fabrication and post process strategies. The cleanroom hands-on work includes master mold anti-sticking treatment, polymer soft stamp fabrication, resist coating and nanoimprint.

The training takes two days, each day 4 hours. It starts with a 45 minute classroom presentation on the first day. Each trainee will fabricate his/her own stamp and make his/her own imprint. All materials will be provided.

There is a maximum of 3 spots for each training session, first come first served. The training fee is $330 for UC System users, $479 for "Not for profit (US)" users, and $1,008 for "For profit and Non-US Entities" users. The basic microfabrication training aims to introduce inexperienced users to the basic patterning techniques used in microdevice fabrication. It is designed for users without previous processing experience, and provides the hands-on foundation to rapidly advance into more complex processing techniques.

The training consists of a 3-hour presentation and hands-on process work in the cleanroom, including photolithography (resist spin coating, exposure, development) and lift-off processing (metal deposition and lift-off). Sessions are primarily hands-on with minimal classroom time; each trainee will fabricate his/her own device. The training is done on 3-4 days, three to five hours daily. At the end of the training, each trainee that is qualified will be presented a Nano3 nanofabrication certificate.

The PDMS molding training aims to teach users how to fabricate microfluidic devices for biological, medical, sensing, optofluidics, MEMS, and other novel applications.

The training is self-contained and requires no prior microfabrication experience. It consists of a 3-hour classroom presentation, and hands-on process work in the cleanroom, including mold master fabrication using SU8 photolithography, and PDMS molding processing (casting, curing, peeling, port creating and bonding).

The training is primarily hands-on with minimal classroom time; each trainee will have fabricated their own device by the end of the training. The training is scheduled on 2 -3 days, three to five hours daily.

There is a maximum of 3 spots for each training session, first come first served.
