Safety is considered highest priority at the Nano3 cleanroom facility. Building occupants and Users may feel safe knowing that the facility operates in strict adherence with all local and federal laboratory standards.
The facility is equipped with a number of state-of-the-art monitoring systems, including a toxic gas monitoring system that detects toxic gases at concentrations well below permissible exposure limits and initiates shut-down of gas cabinets automatically when appropriate.
Users learn about the Nano3 alarm systems, emergency evacuation procedures and safe chemical handling and disposal during the mandatory safety orientation given by Nano3 staff prior to entering the facility. All safety policies and procedures are outlined in the Nano3 Policies and Procedures document, required reading for all new users - Nano3 policy requires new users to pass an exam based on this document. In addition, all users are required to take an annual safety exam in order to maintain access to the facility. In short, the Nano3 facility goes to great lengths to insure the safety of everyone in and around the facility.
